Hiya! I’m a writer, editor and tall person. I’ve been a journalist for over a decade and have written for the likes of The Guardian, The Observer, Vogue, GQ, The Face, Fader, Q, BBC, Vice, Stylist, Out, i-D, Dazed, Time Out and Billboard. I also edit BEAT magazine (yes, we once had Beyoncé on the cover), and was contributing editor at The Guardian Guide for over three years. Prior to that I was features editor at Popjustice, during which time I supported Lily Allen at Shepherd’s Bush Empire. Seriously.
I have interviewed the likes of Lady Gaga, Björk, Kylie Minogue, Kylie Jenner, Max Martin, Brandy, Katy Perry, Damon Albarn, Robyn, Olivia Rodrigo, Shawn Mendes, Sky Ferreira, Giorgio Moroder, Little Mix, Betty White, Fever Ray, Steps, Tinashe, Toni Braxton, Adam Lambert, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Rosalía, Brockhampton, Lorde and many many more.
As well as feature writing, reviewing (albums and gigs), and comment pieces, I also write artist bios and have helped out with media training in conjunction with various labels. I’ve appeared on the BBC World Service and NPR, have chaired panels and herded live Q&As. I’ve also consulted on artist campaigns and for fashion brands.
Speaking of style, I once wrote about suits for tall people and didn’t get any freebies. :(
